Room Transfer Request

A few tips about Room Transfers:
We understand that, in some cases, your room assignment may not meet your wishes, and when a change in assignment is possible we will be glad to help. However, we do have to require that changes take place only after they have been approved by Student Housing. Please DO NOT attempt to co-ordinate your own room or building transfer with friends or other students using social media.
It is important to remember that transferring rooms may result in an additional charge and/or an adjustment in fees, depending on your new room type and location. Additional charges or credits will be posted to your account with Student Financial Services. You will be required to view your student account on WebAdvisor and/or contact Student Financial Services regarding any changes in fees.
Priority for a Room Transfer
Student Housing Services reserves the right to determine transfer priorities as vacancies become available. For example, students with documented medical needs will take precedence. If you have special needs for a high-priority [expedited] room transfer, please explain this on the transfer application. Students are also advised to contact their Residence Manager if there are circumstances that require immediate attention. Documentation of medical or other special needs may be required; if you have not already done so, please complete the Special Consideration Request Form.
Students living in expanded (temporary) assignments will be assigned to vacancies before room transfers are accommodated.
Priority For Single Rooms
If you are a first-year student who would not normally have priority for a single room, but you have special needs for a single, please follow the procedures as described in Priority For Transfer.
